Basketball Game Preview: Avail Academy vs. Hope Academy

Avail Academy and Hope Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Avail Academy Avail Academy are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Hope Academy Hope Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hope Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Avail Academy, who comes in off a win.

While Avail Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Twin Cities Academy/Great River by a score of 36-29 on Thursday. The 36-point effort marked Avail Academy's lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Hope Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by New Life Academy and fell 79-46.

Avail Academy's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23 points. As for Hope Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Avail Academy couldn't quite finish off Hope Academy when the teams last played back in February and fell 38-35. Can Avail Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
