Basketball Game Preview: Kimball Jaguars vs. Manteca Buffaloes

Kimball hasn't had much luck against Manteca recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. Kimball has given up an average of 59.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kimball came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Monte Vista, falling 77-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Jaguars have suffered since January 3rd.

Tristen Debenedetti put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 17 points. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rehmat Mann, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, Manteca played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Lodi, falling 62-42. The Buffaloes haven't had much luck with the Flames recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Manteca's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kimball, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Kimball couldn't quite get it done against Manteca in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 63-55. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
