Recap: Lima Senior Spartans vs. Perry Commodores
The Lima Senior Spartans were the 57-42 winner over the Perry Commodores when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lima Senior took a 56-39 bruising from Perry on Thursday.
Lexenna Lee continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Perry, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Zyasija Scott was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Lima Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Perry, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Lima Senior will head out on the road to face off against Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Findlay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lima Senior in Ohio (Findlay is ranked 153rd, while Lima Senior is ranked 474th). Perry will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Upper Scioto Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
