Baseball Recap: Whittier RVT Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Whittier RVT's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Lowell Catholic Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-7 back in April.

Brandon Fasulo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has become a key player for Whittier RVT: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-8 otherwise.

At the plate, David Tateosian was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Whittier RVT's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Lowell Catholic, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

Whittier RVT didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-2 win against Ipswich on the 19th. Lowell Catholic has also already played their next match (against North Middlesex Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
