Basketball Recap: Red Hill Takes a Loss

Red Hill suffered their biggest loss since January 13th on Monday. They came up short against the Lawrenceville Indians, falling 50-25. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-33 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Red Hill still got an impressive performance from Caitlee Gray, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. That was a full 52% of Red Hill's points, marking the fourth time in a row Gray has had more than a third of the team's points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrenceville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mallory Lockhart, who earned 15 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Lockhart a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addeline Sanders, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Red Hill is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16. As for Lawrenceville, their record is now 12-17.

Red Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lawrenceville, they have already played their next match, a 53-44 defeat against North Clay/Clay City on the 12th.
