Football Game Preview: Century Jaguars vs. Liberty Falcons

Century is 1-8 against Liberty since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Jaguars will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Century will be strutting in after a win while Liberty will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Century turned things around against McMinnville on Friday. They secured a 21-17 W over the Grizzlies. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Jaguars were the (much) better team in the second half.

Century found their leader in sophomore Ryder Owens, who picked up 57 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 36 yards.

Meanwhile, Liberty might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Sherwood who claimed the real prize. The Falcons took a blow against the Bowmen, falling 41-14. The Falcons have struggled against the Bowmen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Century's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
