Basketball Recap: Seymour Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Greenwood

Greenwood typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Seymour proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Greenwood Blue Jays with a 45-41 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Blue Jays are ranked 130th).

The win got Seymour back to even at 8-8. As for Greenwood, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Seymour will welcome Houston at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Greenwood, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Greenwood Blue Jays duke it out with the Bradleyville Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
