Softball Recap: Hagerty's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

With a playoff win on the line, Hagerty rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Western Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won ten games in a row.

Ella Verne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Hagerty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Felker, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Ana Roman was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Hagerty's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Western, they moved to 20-6-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Hagerty nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
