It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Muskegon had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed past the Saranac Redhawks to the tune of 48-6. That looming 48-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Norsemen yet this season.

Hunter Wilder had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 85 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while also picking up 40 receiving yards and one score.

Despite the loss, Saranac saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabe Webb rushed for 81 yards and one TD.

North Muskegon's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Saranac, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Coming up, North Muskegon will square off against Pewamo-Westphalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Norsemen will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Saranac does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
