Centennial lost against St. Joseph-Ogden back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-4. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Centennial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kam Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Tate Sauer, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Centennial now has a losing record of 3-4. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Centennial will face off against Normal West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they will take on Mahomet-Seymour at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.6, the Bulldogs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
