Volleyball Game Preview: Vista Murrieta Broncos vs. Centennial Bulldogs

The Vista Murrieta Broncos will be taking part in a tournament against the Centennial Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Vista Murrieta has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, Vista Murrieta didn't have quite enough to beat Great Oak and fell 3-2. While the Broncos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolfpack 25-20 in the first set.

Vista Murrieta took Great Oak into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-21, 27-29, 25-19, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Centennial waltzed into their game last Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Desert Shields.

Centennial was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-11, 25-18.

Centennial pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Vista Murrieta, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Vista Murrieta beat Centennial 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Vista Murrieta repeat their success, or does Centennial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
