Hilltop is a perfect 10-0 against Pettisville since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cadets will look to defend their home field against the Blackbirds at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pettisville will be up against a hot Hilltop squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Cadets never let Stryker get on the board and left with a 26-0 win on Wednesday.

Giada Rising made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kenley Routt was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Maggie Altman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
Hilltop always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .623. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stryker only posted an OBP of .000.
Pettisville never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Gorham Fayette on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over the Eagles. The Blackbirds haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Like Hilltop, Pettisville also got a great game from a two-way player: Macy Hoylman. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hoylman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Pettisville got a massive performance out of Naomi Richer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Pettisville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Hilltop, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
Pettisville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Hilltop has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Pettisville, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Hilltop keep running through batters, or will the Blackbirds buck the trend?
