Basketball Recap: Shorewood Takes a Loss

Shorewood entered their game against Davis on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Shorewood Stormrays were dealt a 72-39 defeat at the hands of the Davis Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Stormrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Pirates are ranked tenth).

Shorewood's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for Davis, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Shorewood and West Valley will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Davis, they and Lake Stevens will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Davis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
