Softball Recap: Berkeley Yellowjackets vs. Mt. Eden Monarchs

With a playoff game on the line, Berkeley rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mt. Eden Monarchs by a score of 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for Berkeley.

Camden Bernhard was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Melody Castro, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

On Mt. Eden's side, Amaris Ruiz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. Jasmine Cruz was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Berkeley now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Mt. Eden, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
