Football Game Preview: Richmond Hill Wildcats vs. Valdosta Wildcats + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Amire Miller and Marquis Fennell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Richmond Hill are taking a road trip to take on Valdosta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richmond Hill's defense has only allowed 10.6 points per game this season, so Valdosta's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Friday. Richmond Hill snuck past Camden County with a 24-20 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Richmond Hill.

Richmond Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaylon Deal and Elias 'Eli' Grant. Deal also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 21. Layton Steigelman was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Valdosta faced Colquitt County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats and the Packers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Wildcats suffered an 18-17 loss. The Wildcats gained 146 more yards on the day, but it was the Packers that made the best use of them.

Richmond Hill will have to keep a close watch on Deron Foster and Prince Jean, a pair of players who had a big impact on Valdosta's prior game. Foster rushed for 202 yards, while Jean gained 124 total yards. Jean showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 52 yards.

Richmond Hill's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Valdosta, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.

Richmond Hill took their win against Valdosta in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 35-14 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Fennell, who rushed for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
