Softball Recap: Hazlehurst Takes a Loss

Hazlehurst fell victim to Jefferson Davis County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hazlehurst's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Jefferson Davis County, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazlehurst will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Forest Hill at 6:00 p.m. on April 10. As for Jefferson Davis County, they will face off against Stringer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson Davis County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Stringer has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
