Recap: Commerce Tigers vs. Franklin County Lions
The Commerce Tigers won the last time they faced the Franklin County Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. Commerce came out on top against Franklin County by a score of 58-49.
It was another big night for Malay L miitchell, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jada Palumbo, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Commerce's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Franklin County, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-4.
Commerce won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lumpkin County at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th. Lumpkin County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Commerce is ranked 147th). As for Franklin County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Seneca at 6:00 p.m.
