Football Game Preview: Gilroy Mustangs vs. Gunderson Grizzlies + How To Watch

The Gilroy Mustangs will square off against the Gunderson Grizzlies at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Gilroy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Gilroy turned things around against Westmont on Thursday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Gunderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 43-21 to Willow Glen. The Grizzlies were down 29-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Gunderson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Gilroy, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Gilroy took their win against Gunderson when the teams last played back in November of 2016 by a conclusive 40-20 score. In that matchup, the Mustangs amassed a halftime lead of 40-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
