It was a proper cat-fight when Monrovia duked it out with South Pasadena on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

James Quesenbery spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Monrovia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sutton Powers, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs Powers has posted since back in February.

Monrovia's win bumped their record up to 15-4-1. As for South Pasadena, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17-1.

Monrovia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against San Marino on the 28th. As for South Pasadena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Temple City on the 28th.
