Baseball Recap: Carbon Hill Takes a Loss

Carbon Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the Gordo Green Wave. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Green Wave this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-0 loss on Thursday.

Carbon Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Sides, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Carbon Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Gordo, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carbon Hill will venture away from home to face off against Cold Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gordo, they will head out to square off against Northside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
