Soccer Game Preview: Abingdon/Avon vs. Illini Bluffs

The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes will face off against the Illini Bluffs Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Abingdon/Avon's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over St. Bede. It was an even better day for Kolbe Hightower as he scored six goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Illini Bluffs made easy work of Bloomington Central Catholic on Monday and carried off a 4-0 victory.

Abingdon/Avon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those eight matches. As for Illini Bluffs, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5-3.
