Baseball Game Preview: Duchesne Eagles vs. Gunnison Valley Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Duchesne will face off against Gunnison Valley. Duchesne will take on Gunnison Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Duchesne has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Duchesne had taken Gunnison Valley down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Duchesne lost 14-5 to Gunnison Valley. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Gunnison Valley's part, the team relied heavily on Porter Comin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, Comin posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was TaLund Zufelt, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Comin wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Gunnison Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matchups.
