Basketball Recap: Uwharrie Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Uwharrie Charter Academy was the 77-38 winner over Albemarle when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bulldogs since Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Uwharrie Charter Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Albemarle, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Uwharrie Charter Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albemarle, they will venture away from home to face off against West Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
