Basketball Game Preview: Barnesville Shamrocks vs. Harrison Central Huskies

The Barnesville Shamrocks will square off against the Harrison Central Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barnesville has given up an average of 51.9 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Barnesville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of Caldwell. The Shamrocks haven't had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Harrison Central came up short against Toronto on Tuesday and fell 55-45. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 711th, while the Red Knights are ranked 229th).

Loss or not, Harrison Central got some senior leadership from Bryson Kamarec and Brady Hyre. Kamarec almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards, while Hyre went 5-for-9 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds. Hyre is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Quito, who posted four points.

Barnesville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Harrison Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Barnesville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Harrison Central in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory.
