Basketball Game Preview: Alsea Wolverines vs. Riddle Irish

The Alsea Wolverines and the Riddle Irish will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Alsea came up short against Glendale and fell 48-39. The loss was the Wolverines' first of the season.

While Riddle didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Yoncalla with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-37. The 51-point effort marked the Irish's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Riddle's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Alsea, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
