Basketball Recap: Frontier Comes Up Short

Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 37-30 to the River Pilots. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pilots earlier this season, when they won 37-36.

Despite the loss, Frontier still got an impressive performance from Anna Bowersock, who posted 13 points and six boards. Bowersock is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Edgar, who had ten points.

Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for River, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Frontier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-33 victory against Bridgeport on the 10th. As for River, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
