Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian dropped their record down to 14-8 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Homestead Spartans by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Braves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Homestead, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The one-run effort marked their lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
