Basketball Game Preview: Model Blue Devils vs. Heard County Braves

Model has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Heard County has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Model Blue Devils will host the Heard County Braves at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Model beat Bremen 35-30.

Meanwhile, Heard County posted their closest victory since January 6, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Southwest Atlanta Christian 69-66. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Braves were down 37-21 in the second quarter.

Heard County's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Model, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.

Model came out on top in a nail-biter against Heard County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 46-44. Will Model repeat their success, or does Heard County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
