Baseball Recap: Richlands Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Richlands faced off against Croatan on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 11-1 to the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 last Tuesday.

Richlands has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Croatan, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Richlands will be taking part in a tournament against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Croatan, they are taking a road trip to take on New Bern at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
