Softball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was the 8-7 winner over Brandon when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday.

Aubrey Reed was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Lydia Kraf, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Freedom has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Brandon, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-14.

As of now, neither Freedom nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
