Volleyball Recap: Kennedy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Kennedy came into Thursday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Newark Memorial Cougars on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Kennedy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 20-25, 26-24, 15-3.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 8-19. As for Newark Memorial, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Kennedy will challenge Irvington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark Memorial, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Westmont on the 12th.
