Baseball Recap: Carrick Falls Short of Bedford in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carrick can now relate to. They fell 8-5 to the Bedford Bisons on Thursday. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Riley Mares was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Carrick is 6-1 when Mares posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brayden Fisher, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Carrick's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Bedford, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
