Preview: Chicago Marshall Commandos vs. Dyett Eagles
The Chicago Marshall Commandos will head out on the road to face off against the Dyett Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chicago Marshall has nine straight wins, Dyett has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Chicago Marshall has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Foreman 52-22 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-7.
Chicago Marshall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alysha Murphy led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'Una Williams, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Dyett's 12-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Simeon on Friday, falling 66-20.
Chicago Marshall's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Dyett, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
