Baseball Game Preview: Gallup Bengals vs. Shiprock Chieftains

Gallup is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Shiprock a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Gallup Bengals will host the Shiprock Chieftains at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gallup lost 13-2 to Aztec on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Shiprock came up short against Miyamura on Tuesday, falling 13-1.

Shiprock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khalil Nakai, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Gallup's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Shiprock, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Gallup took their win against Shiprock in their previous meeting last Saturday by a conclusive 18-3 score. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Chieftains have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
