Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Bobcats vs. United Christian Academy Eagles

After flying high against California School for the Deaf-Riverside last Thursday, Hamilton came back down to earth. The Bobcats fell just short of the United Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-19 in the first set.

Hamilton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 15-9.

Danica Saul paced Hamilton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Saul got some help from Laura Palma Vega and her 25 assists. Palma Vega was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Hamilton's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 17-6. As for United Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against California Lutheran on the 2nd. As for United Christian Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sherman Indian on the 2nd.
