Basketball Recap: Senedot Stripes Takes a Loss

Senedot Stripes played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 52-32 to the Shekinah Christian Flames. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Senedot Stripes has suffered since January 27, 2024.

Shekinah Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nava Showalter, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Beachy, who posted eight points and four steals.

Senedot Stripes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Shekinah Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Senedot Stripes will square off against Harvest Temple Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Harvest Temple Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Senedot Stripes' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Shekinah Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-44 victory against Granville Christian Academy on the 28th.
