Softball Recap: Franklin Heights Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Franklin Heights's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Buckeye Valley Barons on Monday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Barons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Franklin Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKayla Lemon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Lemon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Franklin Heights' loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Buckeye Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Coming up, Franklin Heights will face off against London at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buckeye Valley, they will square off against Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Barons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Silver Knights have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
