Basketball Recap: Brody Rush's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Griggsville-Perry over Brown County

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Griggsville-Perry can now relate to. They fell to the Brown County Hornets 46-42. The Tornadoes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 61-60.

Griggsville-Perry's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Rush, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Hunter Brown, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 12 points.

Griggsville-Perry's loss dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Brown County, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-9.

As of now, neither Griggsville-Perry nor Brown County have any future games scheduled.
