Football Game Recap: Mullen vs. Medicine Valley

Mullen narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Medicine Valley 42-40. The margin of victory was a little narrower than expected seeing as Mullen are ranked 100 places ahead of Medicine Valley in the national rankings.

The contest started off well for Mullen, whose offense put up 28 first-half points. Medicine Valley wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 20 to make it 28-20 heading into the break. Mullen almost let the match get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it. The victory bumped their record up to 5-0. The defeat dropped Medicine Valley's record to 3-2.

Next week Mullen take on Sandhills/Thedford at 7:30 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep their five-game winning streak alive. As for Medicine Valley, they will face off against Brady. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
