Basketball Recap: Nelsonville-York Takes a Loss

Nelsonville-York's game on Thursday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vinton County Vikings. The Buckeyes were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in January.

Vinton County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olive Booth out in front who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Martin, who earned 11 points.

Nelsonville-York now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Vinton County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Nelsonville-York wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-19 win against Meigs on the 9th. Vinton County has also already played their next game, a 53-35 defeat against Alexander on the 9th.
