Carver A&T made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Overlea, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats blew past the Falcons 13-5 on Tuesday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Mason Wehrheim and Trevor Schnirel made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Wehrheim struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Schnirel struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Wehrheim scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Schnirel scored two runs and stole two bases.

In other batting news, Carver A&T got a massive performance out of Magnus Mumford, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Mumford is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Arneklev, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Carver A&T back to even at 2-2. As for Overlea, their record is now 2-4.

Coming up, Carver A&T will head out to challenge Milford Mill Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Overlea, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chesapeake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
