Basketball Recap: Rosie Gorman Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win

Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy kept up with Christ the King until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 63-41 margin over the Patriots. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christ the King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rosie Gorman, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Those 22 points gave Gorman a new career-high. Lucy Gorman was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven assists and six steals.

Christ the King was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy only posted two.

When it comes to explaining why Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy lost, don't look at Elizabeth Talbott. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Talbott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Williams, who scored ten points.

The win got Christ the King back to even at 1-1. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
