Softball Game Preview: Whitehall Zephyrs vs. Louis E. Dieruff Huskies

Whitehall has gone a perfect 3-0 against Louis E. Dieruff recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Zephyrs will welcome the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Whitehall will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Whitehall barely beat East Stroudsburg North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Zephyrs put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 18-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Zephyrs, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Louis E. Dieruff's offense. They came up short against Parkland on Monday, falling 15-0. The Huskies have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Whitehall pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Louis E. Dieruff, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Whitehall took their victory against Louis E. Dieruff when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 19-0 score. Will the Zephyrs repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
