Volleyball Recap: Morningside Academy Comes Up Short

Morningside Academy lost against Calvary Chapel Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles (Eddy) took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. While the Eagles (Eddy) didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-17 in the first set.

Morningside Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

Calvary Chapel Academy found their leader in sophomore Addison Sedaros, who had 26 assists and three aces. Sedaros is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 26 every time she's taken the court this season.

Morningside Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Morningside Academy will take on Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they will face off against Brevard HEAT at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
