Owyhee came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 53-32 margin over the Mountain View Mavericks. Given the Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Mavericks are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Owyhee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Beck out in front who posted seven points and ten rebounds. Josie Davis was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Owyhee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Owyhee's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Mountain View, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Owyhee has already played their next contest, a 67-39 victory against Kuna on the 17th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-34 loss against Rocky Mountain on the 17th.
