Basketball Recap: Warren County Find Success

Warren County won the last time they faced Lincoln County, and Courtney Bray did her part to make sure it happened again. The Warren County Screaming Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 victory over the Lincoln County Red Devils on Tuesday thanks in part to Bray, who posted 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Despite the loss, Lincoln County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Janiah Norman had 25 points along with seven boards and six blocks. That was a full 58.1% of Lincoln County's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Warren County now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Lincoln County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Warren County has already played their next matchup, a 69-41 defeat against Washington-Wilkes on the 17th. As for Lincoln County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-39 win against Lake Oconee Academy on the 17th.
