Soccer Game Preview: Mission Bay vs. Hoover

The Mission Bay Buccaneers will square off against the Hoover Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Bay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Mission Bay is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since January 14. They and Clairemont finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Thursday. The outcome might've been different if Karson Bauer hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Spencer Morton and Collin Scott scored both of Mission Bay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Hoover came up short against Kearny on Tuesday, falling 4-1.

With that draw, Mission Bay's record moves to 10-3-3. As for Hoover, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11-6 record this season.

Mission Bay beat Hoover by a goal in their previous matchup back in January, winning 1-0. Will Mission Bay repeat their success, or does Hoover have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
