Football Recap: Hershey Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Hershey's offense. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mechanicsburg Wildcats on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cameron Sweeney threw for 213 yards on 16 of 24 attempts. Bryan Maduena was his top target, picking up 119 receiving yards. On the ground, Samir Edwards-Pace rushed for 32 yards.

Hershey's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mechanicsburg, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hershey will face off against Waynesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mechanicsburg, they will take on Shippensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
