Volleyball Recap: Bridgeport Central Comes Up Short

Bridgeport Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Greenwich Cardinals. If the Hilltoppers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Bridgeport Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Greenwich's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

Bridgeport Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Greenwich, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Bridgeport Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Trumbull on the 27th. As for Greenwich, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against New Canaan on the 27th.
