Baseball Game Preview: North Rock Creek Cougars vs. Chandler Lions

For the second straight game, North Rock Creek will face off against Chandler. A feisty cat fight will be fought as North Rock Creek Cougars face off against Chandler Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. North Rock Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Chandler's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, North Rock Creek needed a bit of extra time to put away Chandler. They won by a run and slipped past the Lions 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 17th.

Hasten Conley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Conley was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Mavrick Wingo was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

North Rock Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. Chandler's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.
